i know the question sounds stupid as hell, but i'm really curious. i've heard countless of cartoons say it, no idea if it's fact.

It's because all the muscles in your body relax when you die.

Doesn't matter, when the body RELAXES it ALL comes out. I've watched way too many murder/read too many mystery shows/books.
